Philip Varghese

Pastor Philip Varghese was born and raised in a nominal Christian background until his teenage years in Kerala, India. Originally from a Marthomite family, but later accepted Christ and embraced the Pentecostal faith whilst working abroad in the Arabian Peninsula.

As a young man, he realized the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ and led a dedicated life in preparation for God’s service at an appointed time. Whilst working in the Middle East in the 1990’s, the Lord provided avenues and experiences which rooted his commitment and passion towards serving God with integrity.

After migrating to the UK in the early 2000’s, the Lord continued to provide opportunities for further theological education and training from Bethel Bible College, Punalur, Kerala through the Global Institute of Theological Studies.

For several years, he was a part of Life Abundant Pentecostal Church Leicester where he was entrusted with several duties of serving in the Spiritual and Evangelism Team Elders and leading the Mission and Charity Team.

He has a heart for providing pastoral support for the broken and wounded. Many of his life experiences have shaped him to be an understanding and empathetic leader.

He is married to Anna Leena for over 25 years and they have two children, Mevin and Meeval.
